Debit Card

CardValet

CBFCU announces it is offering CardValet®, a new card management and fraud mitigation tool for debit cardholders. Cardholders simply download the free app from the Apple®App Store or Google® Play Store, and then they can actively manage their debit cards.

With this new and powerful debit card management tool, our cardholders can set parameters for when, where and how their debit card is used. It’s easy to turn ‘off’ your debit card from their smartphone, and then turn it back ‘on’ when you want to use it.

The on/off feature is only one of the safeguards available with CardValet. Using the GPS system in the smart phone, geographic use restrictions can be established. Other controls can restrict usage by merchant and spending limit. Real time alerts create another layer of fraud protection with notice that a transaction was attempted, declined, or both.

CardValet puts the control of debit cards right into the cardholders’ hands. Link more than one account to keep track of all debit cards in one easy-to-use application.

Make Everyday Purchasing Quick and Easy

The VISA Debit Card makes everyday purchasing quick and easy, because it works like a check, and it’s safer than carrying cash. Even better, there’s no need to show ID, or wait for approval—so you’re in and out of stores in no time. You can use the VISA Debit Card wherever VISA is accepted.

The VISA Debit Card also acts like an ATM Card. You can use it at 400,000 ATMs in the VISA/PLUS Global ATM Network. The VISA Debit Card is so easy to use, why carry anything else?

To qualify for a debit card, you must be 17 or older and have a checking account at CBFCU.

All applications are subject to credit approval.

Q: Why isn’t my debit card being approved for transactions?
A: Some possible reasons could be that you have insufficient funds, you have a loan payment that is past due, or you have exceeded your spending limit for the day.
